Needle stop down is good for turning corners, Needle stop up is better for inserting and removing materials under the foot and needle.

You can’t add a synchronizer to the CSM2000 to give it needle positioning. You have to select the CSM2001 model motor option which comes with the synchronizer and is programmed for needle positioning
