The 4100IS has an absolute capacity of 2.2L, uses our new external heating element system to optimize the amount of steam available to use and has an operating pressure of 3.5 bar / 50 P.S.I. for maximum ironing efficiency. The professional cork handled iron, made for tailors, seamstresses, sewists and garment production uses our exclusive 32 steam chamber design to prevent condensation and provide dry steam.

F.A.Q.

What do I do when the iron is leaking water?
The temperature regulator is set too low; increase the settings. You may have too much water in the tank. Try emptying some water out and try again.

What do I do when there is no steam from the iron?
The steam valve may be set too low or turned off. Open the steam valve (2) full complete turns. Solenoid in the boiler could be defective.

What do I do when the steam is leaking at the filler cap?
Replace the filler cap washer with a new one, put the new washer in the retaining ring and reinstall. If it is still leaking water, you will need to replace the filler cap.

How do I drain the water from the i500 boiler?
Unplug the boiler and wait until it’s cold (no steam pressure) Turn the filler counter clockwise and remove it slowly. Turn the boiler over and drain the water.

How often should I clean and flush the boiler?
The boiler should be cleaned once a week or as often as needed (depending on the water quality).

What is the pressure gauge setting?
50 PSI.

Is this a commercial or domestic customer? For the home, our 270IR would be their best bet due to the 8 different temperature settings it has available for various fabrics and applications. I would just encourage them to use parchment paper or something to ensure any applique iron-on patches do not accidentally transfer to the soleplate.

On the professional side of things, any of our irons from the 3000IS and up will work well as they have variable temperature control for use with various fabrics. The bonus of these is that the customer can use an iron shoe (2000IA) to make sure if there is any transferring it will go to the shoe and not harm the soleplate of the iron.
