Hi John:
Maybe this will help:

JLx1 has a smaller shank & smaller eye than JLx2. Neither SCHMETZ JLx1 or JLx2 are stock.
JLx2 is also know as needle system BLx4N.
JLx2 has a .02 smaller shank and 2.0 longer shank than ELx705. Both have two grooves.

Specifications
John,

The ELx705 & JLx2(BLx4) are not the same. They are close but as Rhonda pointed out below there is a size differences in the shank diameter & length.

In most cases they both would work but as you know when a customer gets anything that isn't exact they complain. The ELx705 are a lot more popular than the JLx2.

We have the JLx2 in sizes 11,12, & 14

The list price of the JLx2 is $38.95 per 100 and your cost is $28.04 per 100

The ELx705 are also available in sizes 11, 12, & 14 in sharp and in ball point

The list price of the ELx705 is $34.10 per 100 & your cost is $24.55

As far as what needle Bernina is supplying we think they are Organ but we arent 100% sure.

I hope you're doing okay, or as best as is possible. I apologize for the tardiness of my condolences on the passing of Annette as I just found out at about it.

Kind regards
