*Juki, Brother, Babylock high shank machines will not need to use the feed dog cover plate included, because they already have built-in drop feed dog controls for free motion work.

Note: this foot fits on both other brand machines (Juki TL and Brother PQ1500S) as far as attaching it to the ankle. When lowered there is an adjustment on the top of the machine (fabric pressure dial) to increase the height and lift of foot, but it will depend on the thickness of the customers quilt as to whether it is high enough, which would be true with Janome 1600P as well . If the quilt is more than 1/4" thick compressed, it will be difficult to use this foot even on Janome 1600P if fabric bulk catches on the foot ring preventing free motion quilting.
