Dear Distributor:
Distributors of our product should NOT take in returns. As stated in our warranty information on
the product card sent to you with each Stitch Eraser, all returns should be sent directly from the
“end user” to us for repair or replacement.
IF, you have a special situation, and you MUST make a customer happy, do what you need to do,
but remember, the unit may not be under warranty. One way to check is of course, your invoice
to your customer showing the date purchased. However, some customers get confused and will
have more than one Stitch Eraser. They will give you an older one thinking it is a new one that
went bad. You can check a “manufacture” date on the outside casing of the unit. Near the
bottom of the unit, on the outside of the housing, you will find several small boxes, and one larger
box. The two digit number in the larger box is the year of manufacture. The number of “dots” in
the smaller boxes indicate the month of manufacture. (A code of 4 dots and the numbers 02 mean
that the unit was manufactured in April, 2002).
We know that all units are not sold immediately, thus the mail-in warranty card and our request
that customers send us a copy of a purchase invoice if the warranty card has not been sent in to
us. However, with rotating your inventory and ordering units that you can sell rather quickly, we
cannot repair or replace units under warranty that have manufacture dates prior to 1999, 2000,
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 , 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015,
2016, 2017, 2018 and some 2019 dates. (The dates of course change as time goes on.)
