F.A.Q.

Will the B990 fit my cabinet or will I need a new cabinet?
The machine fits in a 31” opening with some limitations, it’s usable. An insert will be made available. Module “kind of” fits, but there will be a new cabinet for the 990 that fits perfectly.

Hi everyone! We just wrapped up a dealer training session with Bernina, and they had an excellent Q&A section. Here are the key points we noted for you:

**BSR Inclusion**:
BSR is included despite having BISR because it offers additional options. With BSR, you also get two extra snap-on soles. If you prefer using BSR and need to use the straight stitch plate, you can do so with the regular BSR.

**Bobbins**:
It uses the same bobbin system as the 7, 5, and 4 series machines, so if you're upgrading, all your bobbins remain the same.

**Multi Spool Holder**:
Yes, it can be used, and it connects similarly to other machines.

**Simulator Availability**:
It will be available in late August 2024.

**Training Workbooks**:
Workbooks for this machine are being diligently worked on, modeled for Embroidery, Sewing, and Quilting. They resemble the old manuals but with new, incredible content. Expect them by August 1st, with quilting workbooks following shortly after.

**Skill Hub Code Card**:
It's included in the packaging with the printed instruction manual, ensuring cohesive wording and content from Bernina International in Steckborn. Expected to go live on August 1st, alongside Dealer BLC courses.

**Embroidery Design and Hoop**:
Yes, you can allow part of the embroidery design to extend beyond the hoop during embroidery, a unique feature exclusive to Bernina.

**Jumbo Sewing Stitches in Embroidery**:
Yes, you can incorporate Jumbo Sewing Stitches into embroidery designs, aligning them precisely using tools like the scanner, offering limitless design possibilities.

**Artlink 9 and Wireless Design Transfer**:
No, Artlink 9 cannot be used for wireless design transfer; you'll need Creator or Designer Plus software.

**B990 Cabinets**:
Any cabinet with a 31" opening can fit the machine. For fully enclosing the machine, the new Bernina Luxe Cabinet is recommended.

It's similar to the 790 Pro but faster and improved.
