A Creative Sewing Consultant, Stitch Optimizer and helpful animations for all functions are available to you. The long awaited BERNINA air threading overlocker has finally arrived! The L 850 is a 2-, 3-, 4-thread Overlock machine that comes loaded with comfort features. The air threader is operated using the BERNINA Foot Control. This is the same foot control and power supply used on BERNINA sewing machines—which means that they are interchangeable between machines. I move machines from place to place a lot in my sewing space, so it is convenient to keep the power supply stationary and just move machines. One-Path Threading:
To begin threading, raise the retractable thread stand to the highest position. Raise the presser foot—this will open the tension disks in the machine making it easy to thread and re-thread. The machine follows a color-coded thread path and every stitch on this machine has one-path threading. This means you will not need to move spools of thread or change order to achieve different stitches. One-path threading has been featured on previous BERNINA Overlockers as well.

The bernette 68 is a combo machine with overlock, cover-, chain- and combo stitches. Its many strengths include an air threader for easy threading of looper threads, 5" (130 mm) of space to the right of the needle for comfortable sewing of large projects – especially for coverstitching, an integrated freearm for sewing cuffs, the bright illumination of the sewing area with 5 LEDs, and the Knee lifter for lowering and temporarily raising the presser foot. 31 different stitches leave nothing to be desired.

The 130 mm space right of the needle gives coverstitching another dimension. The large working area is ideal for leading and catching heavy sewing projects in front and behind the needle and gives you the space for all the tasks in the needle and looper area.

Super-large slide-on table
The easy-to-attach and included slide-on table makes sewing and fabric guiding even more comfortable, especially for large sewing projects. This allows the fabric to glide smoothly over the large rounded working area. The matching coverstitch insert additionally extends the sewing area and closes perfectly with the slide-on-table.

Knee Lifter
Use the included knee lifter to position the fabric comfortably under the presser food with both hands. Simply push the knee lifter to the right with your knee and the presser foot is lowered or temporarily raised.

The coverstitch machine with easy air threading

The bernette 62 AIRLOCK is the coverstitch machine of the b60 series. The automatic air threader makes threading the looper thread child's play. The machine has 4 coverstitches and 3 chainstitches and can be used for countless applications, with which different fabric types – stretchy fabrics in particular – can be sewn perfectly. The presser foot can be lowered and temporarily raised with the knee lifter, leaving both hands free to guide the fabric. The slide-on table and matching coverstitch insert increase the sewing area and provide sufficient space for large projects. Thanks to the 5 LEDs, the large working area is brightly illuminated.
