This compact frame allows you to do everything a ten or twelve-foot frame can do for a fraction of the space and cost. The Cutie can handle king size quilts and can be stored away when you are through. You don't have to have a dedicated space to set up the Cutie; all you need is a flat surface that is at least 48" long by 38" wide. Laminate countertops, wood surfaces, or plastic tables will all support the frame. You also don't need to worry about the Cutie scratching surfaces or sliding around. The frame's base has a thick rubber padding that "grips" surfaces and prevents movement. Use an adjustable height ruler foot (non hopping) like Sew Steady has with slots to set the distance between bottom of foot and the needle plate. Low enough to prevent flagging of fabric on the needle and just high enough to allow for fabric movement under the foot without any drag. Our Ruler Base is ideal for providing extra work space on a long arm machine sitting on a frame with a platform. The table often requires that the machine move forward or back on the frame to allow the brackets to lock into the platform and keep it in place while in use.SEW STEADY TABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.

Sure Stitch length regulator vs. speed control box: a Quilting Board Discussion. In September I purchased a Grace II frame with a Brother 1500s machine. I added the Grace Sure Stitch which is a dual function stitch regulator. You can set the stitch size and the speed adjusts with how fast you move the machine. I can't imagine doing without either.
