Note: Free shipping on ten or more cabinets on public school purchase orders. The Singer Futura line will fit in the Arrow Bertha ( models 98700, 701, 702), Auntie Em (model 98901) and Sewnatra (models 98500, 501, 503) just fine. The Bertha cabinet will offer the most room as the opening is the largest. On the Kangaroo side, all the cabinets will fit the Singer Futura models.

Occasionally a cabinet gets scratched or dinged up either from every day use in your store or from shipping. Even my new kitchen cabinets are getting small marks from everyday use. So I did a little research and found a few markers that can cover up some small scratches.

COMPARE GIDGET I VS. GIDGET II:
Gidget I has a smaller opening size (17 ½” W vs 7 ⅜” D) compared to the large opening on Gidget II (23 ½” W x 12” D)
Gidget II Table features two wheels for easier portability when folded flat. Gidget I does not have wheels but can easily be transported with collapsible legs.
Gidget I is made of particle board with steel locking legs. Gidget II is made with denser MDF (medium density fiberboard) and steel locking legs.
Gidget II will require a custom made insert for her opening. Gidget I has a smaller opening, and may not need an insert if your machine is deep enough to fill most gaps.

*Please note: The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 15,000 fits the platform of the cabinet in flat bed position (a custom insert is available) but you will have to move the sewing machine from right to left to lower into the storage position because of the extension of the front support leg of the machine. Also, the knee lifter lever cannot be used with a sewing cabinet due to the length of the lever and how the machine sits on the platform in flat bed position.
The above are the known machines that do not fit properly. Please be advised that this list may change as new models are introduced. It is extremely important to measure your machine prior to ordering to make sure it will fit.

Sized for Cabinet Openings to Fit Around the Freearm Surface in Flush FlatBed Position for Your Brand and Model Sewing Embroidery and Serger Machines. Sew Steady Cabinet Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of freearm sewing machine and cabinet. The Insert fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet to create a flat working surface*. Made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.
Please be careful when determining the make and model of your cabinet. It is vital to ensure the proper size insert is selected since this product is made-to-order and non-returnable. *Please Note: Inserts are made for your machine and the width of the opening of the cabinet or table. Depending on the size of your sewing machine compared to the opening of the cabinet or table, the insert may not extend all the way around machine as shown. Machines must be smaller than the cabinet opening by a minimum 3" in depth at widest part(front to back) and 2" in length (left to right) for insert to wrap completely around machine as shown in picture.If the machine is wider or longer than these minimums we may still be able to make a Filler piece to help fill gaps and still create a smooth sewing surface. Our standard Insert design allows for approximately 1-1/2” – 2” on the right for clearance for the cords and handwheel, when space permits.

The standard is to have enough space on the right side of the cabinet opening to allow space for machine cords, to use on/off switch, and accommodate for the hand wheel to be pushed down into the cabinet. The insert is designed to be perfectly level with the free arm of the machine. If you have a top loading bobbin this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If the machine fills the majority of the opening of your cabinet then we may have options outside of a standard full insert to help fill in those smaller gaps. If you plan to use a knee lift feature while your machine is in the cabinet, contact us for placement. A cutting mat is NOT a ruler and should not be used for precise measuring.
- Why? Because of the coefficient of expansion. Basically mats are made of a soft plastic, so they have a
greater chance of expanding and contracting in different weather. Rulers are always made of acrylic which has a much, much smaller coefficient of expansion. As a matter of fact the coefficient of expansion on rulers is so small as to be practically non-existent for a quilter’s purpose.
- You should be using your ruler to measure precisely, and should be using the same ruler throughout the
project which is something every top quilt instructor teaches.
- Mats should be used only for general measuring and for cutting. They should never be used for precise
measurements.

Aussie II:
Do you sometimes feel like you need space the size of a continent for your sewing needs? Our Aussie may not be the size of the Australian continent, but it is close! Our Aussie boasts an amazing 31.5 square feet of sewing space, when fully opened with quilt leaf and rolling caddy extended the Aussie is 99 1/2” wide by 80 1/2” deep. Don’t let these measurements scare you, when the quilt leaf is folded down and the rolling caddy is tucked under the Aussie measures 99 ½” wide x 22” deep.
With so much surface area the Aussie is ideal for quilting or large sewing projects. The large surface space also means you have plenty of room for multiple sewing machines or sergers. The rolling caddy can be placed in 2 separate locations on the cabinet and it tucks neatly away when not in use. The lift mechanism moves your sewing machine up and down in 3 separate positions and is adjustable for all heights of machines. The wide room in front of the lift allows the sewer to sit comfortably in the correct center needle sewing position. The quilt leaf extension on the back of the cabinet comes with your Aussie and helps to expand your work area preventing large quilts from falling on the floor behind the cabinet. Lastly your Aussie features numerous drawers and trays for storage of all your sewing notions and boomerangs. When your sewing is complete safely conceal and secure all your sewing notions and equipment by closing both doors and turning the key to lock them shut.
