What is Needle Punch Felting? Needle Punch Felting is a creative embellishing process which uses special barbed needles moving in and out of the material repeatedly to interweave two or more fibers together. With repetitive motion, these barbs catch the fibers in the material, then bind, tangle, texture, and blend them together to create a unique effect.Electric Needle Punch Felting machines allow you to master this ancient art in minutes allowing you to achieve professional looking results with ease.
Material:
Needle punch Felting does not require a bobbin or thread, so all you need is the material to work with. You can felt almost any fabric, yarn or other material. Natural fibers such as wool and felt mesh easily with one another creating soft-edged colors. Stiffer materials like ribbon attach making a distinct collage effect. Yarn is an ideal material to felt because it creates a soft edge and blends well. Turn left over fabric scraps into new colors and combinations. Un-spun wool or silk roving creates a very soft edged effect that shows on each side of the felted piece. Experiment, and be create, there are many looks and combinations.
