4-21-21-- This case base naturally tapers from the top to the bottom. This is why there’s some discrepancy between measurements. We did a second measuring this morning based off the inner base of the case. These are: 13.5” L x 10.5” W

It seems in our book we “split the difference as higher to the top of the base the measurements are greater. So from the inner bottom of the base to the top of that base is 13.5”- 14.5” L and 10.5” – 11.5” W.

Organ home serger needles 15x1SP, half price of Schmetz ELX705 & Singer 2022 serger needles. Size 14 recommend to reduce deflection which can cause needles to hit metal parts

Recommended Size 14 Regular Sharp point is the default from the drop down menu, unless you select Size 11 for lighter weight fabrics and threads, or BP Ball Point for knits.

It is made to higher standards, it has a snake’s head shape due to a combination of a slightly bulged eye and a slightly reduced blade above the eye. The bulged eye opens a slightly larger space in the material and the thinner blade above the eye reduces contact between the material and the needle. This reduces needle heat-up and prevents skip stitches. It is also available in a light ball point to separate the fibers rather than cutting them, avoiding needle holes in the fabric.

Regular point. This needle is designed for use in electronic multi-purpose sergers that do the overlock, cover, safety, and mock safety stitches. Not suitable for use in normal home sewing machines or embroidery machines. Machines should specify ELX705 system. Regular finish.

The Chrome finish also means there is less friction on the thread as it moves through the eye. The Chrome finish is an important feature when using fast stitching machines such as the serger. Schmetz ELx705CF Chrome Finish needles are comparable to Organ HAx1SP, 15x1SP Serger needles that come with most overlock sergers, all made in Asia. Size 14 Recommended. ELx705CF replaces JLx2 Needles for Cover Stitch special applications.
