This foot is indispensable when additional control is needed to feed the fabric or layers being sewn. In a tradition of continuous technical improvements, BERNINA recently enhanced this Walking Foot. It now includes three interchangeable soles: the closed sole designed for sewing with difficult or slippery fabrics, the open sole designed for quilting, and the sole with center guide to help stitch perfectly straight along a seam or edge. Use the closed sole for sewing on leather, velvet, slippery or sticky fabrics, for matching plaids, etc. There are both 1/4" and 1/8" markings on the sole to serve as seam and cornering guides. Use the open sole when machine quilting. The quilting sole has an "open toe" configuration to improve visibility when quilting. It also provides 1/4" and 1/8" markings to serve as seam and cornering guides. The back of the quilting sole is designed to reduce drag on the quilt, further promoting perfect feed. Use the center guide sole to help stitch perfectly straight along a seam or edge; it is great for in-the-ditch stitching for both sewing and quilting applications. 3 REASONS TO OWN A WALKING FOOT THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH QUILTING
This foot is indispensable when additional control is needed to feed the fabric or layers being sewn. In a tradition of continuous technical improvements, BERNINA recently enhanced this Walking Foot. It now includes three interchangeable soles: the closed sole designed for sewing with difficult or slippery fabrics, the open sole designed for quilting, and the sole with center guide to help stitch perfectly straight along a seam or edge. Use the closed sole for sewing on leather, velvet, slippery or sticky fabrics, for matching plaids, etc. There are both 1/4" and 1/8" markings on the sole to serve as seam and cornering guides. Use the open sole when machine quilting. The quilting sole has an "open toe" configuration to improve visibility when quilting. It also provides 1/4" and 1/8" markings to serve as seam and cornering guides. The back of the quilting sole is designed to reduce drag on the quilt, further promoting perfect feed. Use the center guide sole to help stitch perfectly straight along a seam or edge; it is great for in-the-ditch stitching for both sewing and quilting applications. This foot allows you to sew along longarm quilting rulers to create decorative quilt designs such as lines, feathers, circles etc. Any commercial Plexiglas longarm quilting rulers with a ¼ inch thickness can be used. The height of the sole of the foot makes it possible to quilt along all the edges of these rulers which is of utmost importance especially with circles.
With this technique the feed dog is lowered and the fabric with the Plexiglas ruler is guided manually with the base of the foot resting against the edge of the ruler. Due to the adjustment dial the height of the foot can be adjusted to match the fabric thickness individually so that the fabric can be moved smoothly and without getting stuck.
Moreover, this additional option provided by the adjustable foot height extends the scope of applications for BERNINA sewing machines without the function ‘automatic presser foot pressure/presser foot height’.

"This case includes the perfect size cubby holes for BERNINA feet, both larger feet like the Reverse foot pattern #1D, and smaller profile feet like the Button-sew-on foot #18. The foam is stiff enough to keep the feet firmly in place. What I love best about the Accessory Case is how you have the ability to organize the feet in a way that works best for you.
At the bottom of the case is a tray that holds a total of 18 feet and two of the large BERNINA Hook Jumbo bobbin cases. I use this space for feet that I don’t use as often.
The second tray can hold 20 more feet including the Buttonhole foot with slide #3A and 6 jumbo bobbins. I use this tray for feet I use most often, and it’s easy to grab them when I need them.
The lid of the case holds more feet and includes specific receptacles for Walking foot #50 (along with the 3 soles, two guides, guide holder, and screwdriver), and a space to fit the entire foam holder for the BERNINA Stitch Regulator and accessories. Also in the lid are spaces for the Adjustable rulerwork foot #72 and the additional Couching Inserts and Echo quilting clips compatible with the foot. If you think the stuff in the lid might come out, BERNINA has a fix for that.
Included with the case is a firm foam cover for the accessories in the lid that fits snugly in the compartment and keeps everything in place.

The Buttonhole Cutter with wooden block is a special tool designed for cutting open finished buttonholes of any size.
The wooden block is placed under the buttonhole to support the fabric; the chisel is pressed against the block from above. The chisel's knife is positioned in the centre between the beads of the buttonhole, and with only slight pressure, cuts through the fabric directly onto the wooden block.
Thanks to its precise design, the blade slices through the buttonhole cleanly and accurately, without damaging the buttonhole's beads and bartacks. This helps prevent unsightly fraying of buttonholes on garments.
