Gravity Feed Water Bottle Steam Irons, Iron Rest, Demineralizer & Non-Stick Iron Teflon Iron Shoes |
(Q)I have a small art business. I need to iron a lot of wool sweaters. I don't need an iron for delicate fabrics. What is the difference between the gravity fed iron and the steam generating iron?
(A)Both have continuous steam, but the soleplate temperture is adjustable on steam generator irons, even though the steam source stays the same temperature. Gravity feed irons can cool down quicker. with steam generator irons you have steam going into the iron, whereas with gravity feed you have cold water going into the steam chamber of the iron.
(Q)What is dry steam?
(A)The higher the temperature and pressure of the steam generating boiler, the less humidity is in the steam.

These irons are for industrial use.
Some major parts are UL/CE approved ( ex: 151504 thermostat),but as a whole it's not.
Even if it were UL/CES approved as a whole, it is not wise to use industrial irons in homes. The functioning of home irons and industrial irons are different. For instance, home irons have a function automatically to cut the electricity if the iron falls over.
It may even make a sound or beep while industrial irons do not have such function.
Industrial irons are meant for use by professionals who know how to properly handle their equipment. The manufacturers of home use products have a much higher responsibility when putting their products in people's homes, and must provide special fail safes to protect the home user.
If a home user wishes to purchase and use industrial irons in their home they must be aware of the safety differences between home irons and industrial irons.
Home users of industrial irons must be mindful of the extra caution that must be used when using irons intended for industrial use in the home.
