The bernette 62 AIRLOCK is the coverstitch machine of the b60 series. The automatic air threader makes threading the looper thread child's play. The machine has 4 coverstitches and 3 chainstitches and can be used for countless applications, with which different fabric types – stretchy fabrics in particular – can be sewn perfectly. The presser foot can be lowered and temporarily raised with the knee lifter, leaving both hands free to guide the fabric. The slide-on table and matching coverstitch insert increase the sewing area and provide sufficient space for large projects. Thanks to the 5 LEDs, the large working area is brightly illuminated.

The 130 mm space right of the needle gives coverstitching another dimension. The large working area is ideal for leading and catching heavy sewing projects in front and behind the needle and gives you the space for all the tasks in the needle and looper area.

Super-large slide-on table
The easy-to-attach and included slide-on table makes sewing and fabric guiding even more comfortable, especially for large sewing projects. This allows the fabric to glide smoothly over the large rounded working area. The matching coverstitch insert additionally extends the sewing area and closes perfectly with the slide-on-table.
Knee Lifter
Use the included knee lifter to position the fabric comfortably under the presser food with both hands. Simply push the knee lifter to the right with your knee and the presser foot is lowered or temporarily raised.

In Stock! The Bernina #C21 10/36 Double Fold Binder attachment is used with the Binder Accessory Attachment on the L890.
Made for use with the BERNINA L 890 Machine and compatible with bernette coverstitch models (b42, b48) and previous BERNINA coverstitch models (L 220, 009DCC, 1300MDC).
Due to the top bottom double-fold binder, fabric edges and necklines can be perfectly bordered with bias tape. The unfolded tape is inserted through the attached guide rail, folded over twice on the upper and lower sides of the bias tape and sewn on with a cover or chain stitch. For the perfect look, the bias tape can also be self-made. Tapes of 38 mm width result in a finished width of approx. 10 mm. Tapes of 60 mm width result in a finished width of approx. 15 mm. An attachment adapter is required to use the tape binder.

Made for use with the BERNINA L 890 Machine and compatible with bernette coverstitch models (b42, b48) and previous

With the single-fold binder, fabric edges and necklines can be perfectly bordered with bias tape. The unfolded tape is inserted through the attached guide rail, folded over twice on the upper side while the under side remains open, and is then sewn on with a cover stitch. For the perfect look, the bias tape can also be self-made. Tapes of 30 mm width result in a finished width of approx. 10 mm. Tapes of 45 mm width result in a finished width of approx. 15 mm. The BSR regulates perfect, equal-length straight and zigzag stitches at variable sewing speeds during free-motion quilting. BSR is optional for models B 475 QE and B 480 and is not available on the B 435.
